PLAY IN A DAY
What if your pupils could rehearse and perform their very own play — all before the final bell? That's exactly what happens with PLAY IN A DAY. In just one school day, your class or year group takes a play from first read-through to a live performance in front of the whole school, building confidence, teamwork and a genuine love of theatre along the way.
We Come to You
There's no need to arrange transport or book an external venue — our team brings everything needed straight into your school hall. Simply provide the space, and we'll take care of the rest, from scripts and staging to a fully directed performance.
How the Day Unfolds
The day begins with morning rehearsals, running from the morning bell through to lunch, as pupils get to grips with their roles and scenes. After lunch, rehearsals continue until 2.15pm, polishing the performance and pulling everything together. Then, at 2.45pm, it's showtime — a live performance for the rest of the school to enjoy. (Timings can be flexible to accommodate your school's hours).

What's Included
PLAY IN A DAY is suitable for any key stage, from KS1 through to KS4, with plays chosen to suit the age and ability of the group. Schools can choose a ready-made play included in the price, or opt for a bespoke production built around a subject or topic they're covering, for an additional cost. No previous experience is needed — every pupil takes part, whatever their starting point, guided by our experienced practitioners throughout the day. Each session can accommodate up to 40 children, culminating in a whole-school performance that gives every child their moment in the spotlight.
