Stacey - Principle / J.Y.T Drama and Singing teacher

Stacey's passion for facilitating and training young people in the performing arts came from a love for 'the stage'. Stacey grew up attending many fabulous youth drama groups where she realised her love for the arts. As a youngster she was lucky enough to perform in many productions including 'West Side Story', 'Jekyll and Hyde' and Bill Kenwright's production of 'Evita'.

After gaining a BA(hons) in Acting from the Trinity School of Performing Arts, Stacey began working professionally as an actress and singer in productions such as 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and 'Peter Pan'. It was during the time when she was writing her own playscript of 'The Tortoise and the Hare', a musical adaptation of the famous fable, that she developed a passion for working with children. The play was aimed at a younger audience and she performed as the tortoise as it toured the U.K. This marks the beginning of Stacey's teaching career. After obtaining her QTS at the University of Wolverhampton, Stacey worked as a Teacher of English in a secondary school for many years and continued teaching private singing lessons.

Stacey is extremely excited to be leading J.A.M Youth Theatre as it begins its journey, and hopes that it can bring a passion for the arts to each and every student that walks through its doors.

Harriet - J.Y.T Dance Teacher

Harriet has been performing from the age of 3, in all things Musical Theatre. As a youngster she performed in various different shows including The English Youth Ballet and also in Bill Kenrights production of 'Scrooge'. She then, at age 16, went on to Midlands Academy of Dance & Drama in Nottingham to do a foundation course before heading to Liverpool Theatre School for 3 years, where she attained a Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre.

Following her training she became Singer/Dancer on the Thomson Majesty Cruise Ship, toured the UK in Aladdin, performed in various shows and pantomimes and was even a dancer on the JLS Farewell Tour.

Harriet can now be found performing in various shows around the Midlands after moving back home a few years ago, she is also the resident singer at Chill Jazz & Wine Bar in Tettenhall.

Dance has always been the foundation of Harriet's training, becoming accomplished in many styles. The singing and acting was just a pleasant surprise along the way.

Harriet is absolutely thrilled to be a part of J.A.M Youth Theatre and can't wait to help little performers, as she was, grow into the stars of tomorrow!

Georgia - Jammy Dodgers Leader / LAMDA coach

As a child, Georgia was exposed to various childhood activities, but it was her passion for performance that began when she was just 4 years old and continued right through her life. Georgia has trained in jazz, ballet, tap, hip-hop and rock and roll dancing. It was later on in Georgia's performance journey that she was introduced to the acting and singing side of performance and she quickly realised that this was her life aspiration.

Georgia began her teaching career at the young age of 14 as an assistant teacher in a Musical Theatre class. Georgia found that the buzz she got from seeing her students perform on stage was like no other and from that moment on realised that she wanted to teach.

Alongside her teaching, Georgia performs at event and runs birthday parties as different Disney princesses and characters. Georgia's aim, along-side the other teachers at J.A.M Youth Theatre, is to provide the high quality training that she previously received in order to provide aspiring young performers with the great opportunities that she was exposed to throughout her training.

Claudia - Jammy Dodgers/Juniors Assistant

Theatre has always played a big role in Claudia's life. From a young age Claudia had a real passion for performing and was an enthusiastic participant in school performances, her most memorable experience was playing Pumba in The Lion King - with a pillow for stuffing! Outside of school she continued to develop her passion, spending much of her time in dancing, singing and acting lessons.

Alongside her performance experience, Claudia has worked in theatre education both teaching singing privately and for a stage school in Aldersley. She also worked in the Creative Learning and Education department at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, working closely with schools to provide music, drama and dance opportunities for school children. Claudia also has an Associate Diploma in Music Theatre Performance (ALCM) through the London College of Music.

Claudia has helped out with a few JAM Youth Theatre sessions in the past and is really looking forward to joining the team and having fun teaching and learning with the children!
